PAiA 9407k Tube Preamp
The 9407k preamp is a combination of tube and solid-state circuitry. A NE5532 opamp drives two 12AX7 gain stages, which are fed low plate voltages ("starved plate") to exaggerate their inherent non-linearity. The amount of tube saturation may be adjusted by a "blend" knob which blends between the pre- and post-tube stage signal.

Notable Features:

"Starved plate" circuitry

Uses two Sovtek 12AX7 tubes

Adjustable "Tube Drive"

Includes wall-mount power supply

Designed for PAiA's 9407C case

Price: $82.31 Adjusted Cost: $96.54/channel (two channels)
PAiA gives a $12 discount for two kits, making the price $152.62.
