Revision for “PAiA 9407k Tube Preamp” created on December 7, 2015 @ 21:59:16
Title | PAiA 9407k Tube Preamp |
---|---|
Content | The 9407k preamp is a combination of tube and solid-state circuitry. A NE5532 opamp drives two 12AX7 gain stages, which are fed low plate voltages ("starved plate") to exaggerate their inherent non-linearity. The amount of tube saturation may be adjusted by a "blend" knob which blends between the pre- and post-tube stage signal.
