The HPDI is a version of Hamptone’s FET-based microphone preamps adapted for a DI-level signal. It is designed to run on either phantom power or a DC wallwart. A finished DI fits in a stomp-box-sized chassis.
Notable Features:
- Runs on phantom power of DC wall wart (included in kit)
- Inputs and Outputs:
- 1/4″ input
- 1/4″ parallel output
- 1/4″ buffered output
- XLR transformer-balanced output
- Pad, phase and ground lift controls
- Based on the HJFP2 mic preamp
- Kit includes mechanical templates for housing the project in a Hammond 1590B case
