Projects > Gyraf Calrec PQ1549 DIY Equalizer
The PQ1549 is a solid-state, parametric eq from the Calrec UA-8000 console. Gyraf adapted the eq for DIY by substituting modern components, scrapping the preamp section, improving the opamps, and adding balanced inputs and outputs. Gyraf provides the basic documentation on his site, and Magnus Johanasen provides a great, step-by-step guide for beginners attempting the project.

This uses the LM833 correct? I’m having a bit of trouble reading the schematic. Is there anything easily substitutable?
Yes, as Magnus notes, LM833 it is – although NE5532 will do too
